Frequently Asked Questions

What are your most popular floor plans in Southwest Washington?

Our most popular plans in this region include the Winchester, Oswego, Douglas, Liberty, and Bannock.

What permits are needed to build a house in Southwest Washington?

Every jurisdiction is different in regards to what permits are required to build a house. Typically you are required to have a building planning permit, ensuring you're able to build on your land; a master building permit, ensuring you're able to build that specific home on your land; and permits for septic systems, wells, and so forth.

How well do your building materials hold up in the wet Pacific Northwest climate?

All building materials that Adair Homes uses for the exterior of your home are specifically engineered for the Pacific Northwest weather. This includes our roofing, windows, aluminum gutters, flashing, and James Hardie siding products.

What kind of indoor flood prevention systems do you provide?

We don't have any flood prevention systems in our homes. We are not aware of any code-required items and/or any features that other builders may provide that prevents flooding inside a home. We recommend you verify with your homeowners insurance that you would be protected from this sort of event.

What kinds of home warranties do you offer for natural event-related building damage?

Our home warranty provides our customers with a one-year workmanship warranty and a 10-year structural warranty. For coverage involving natural events, we recommend you contact your home insurance company.

Local Customer Reviews

Lori Osborn was most help helpful to us planning the building of our dream home. She was able to answer all of our questions or find answers for us. Lori even arranged for us to tour a recently built home of the same design. I have had two Adair homes constructed in the past as well as buying another one from the original owner and I can attest that Adair builds a solid product. With their widely expanded designs and finish options anyone is sure to find a home that will suit them well.

Building a new home is always an enduring process, but after all of my hard core research on other pre-engineered truss home builders.. I chose Adair. Their customer service and their cost with their upgraded package with the quality of materials and suppliers can not be beat. I would do it again, in a heart beat! I highly recommend you give Adair a closer look when it comes to value and a well built home.
